Optus Go Website Design

For a university project, I had to design, create and build a website for a new product. Optus Go was the product I came up with – a similar product to Telstra Air in which users of Optus Yes could use free Wifi Hotspots to save their data usage. A huge selling point for current…

Steampunk Centrepiece

I am creating a centrepiece in Maya for a steampunk factory. I have decided to create a 3D model of a forge initially, which I will then place into a factory that I create for part 2 of the assessment. Below are images of my final renders. I used Pixar’s RenderMan to produce these.

Beyonder – Video Game Opening Titles

Above is a video game loading and title screen I have created in After Effects and rendered with Mental Ray in Maya. I designed all the assets initially in photoshop, including the logo for “Beyonder” then animated the initial opening sequence in After Effects. You can find my initial proposal idea here: dig200a_00137686t_hood_d_individual_project_ass1b_-proposal_2 The 3D…

True Detective Inspired SplashScreen

Above you’ll find my final design for an app for “The Killing”. I was heavily inspired by the True Detective opening credits and think it’s a great effect overall. The photograph of the woman was taken with a green screen behind her and is one of my peers on my course. The others were sourced…

Digital Studio 3 – Update FINAL

Here is the last update for YETI Studio Assets and Dream Capture. They are completed!! For this week, Emma finished all the renders for YETI studios and I found the music I wanted through Filmstro. I took all the assets and put them into Premier Pro to create the final video, showing the original photographs…

Digital Studio 3 – Update 7

This week was a bit of a struggle again. David unfortunately has had unforeseen issues with his personal life that has meant we are quite behind with our website layout and video production for YETI. Due to these circumstances, we have had to put the Maroubra Lions Project on hold. He has applied for an…

Digital Studio 3 – Update 6

Back with both feet stamped on the accelerator this week, we have charged forward with getting renders of our 3D objects completed. We now have full 360 turn arounds of 4 objects with more to come towards the middle of this week. Emma has looked into the destructibility of some objects, and while there are…

Digital Studio 3 – Update 5

This week has been a busy week for everyone involved, but work has managed to continue at a relatively strong pace. 2 more models have been completed by Emma, and David has finished his photography work for our “smashable 3D Pack” The next week will be a case of rendering out full videos of each…

Digital Studio 3 – Update 4

This week was a complete focus on modelling. Emma managed to model 2 objects that were breakable and also managed to test render them for realism. David also managed to take a few photographs of images and worked on getting rid of the backgrounds.   Here are the 2 objects, both modelled and photographed:  …

Digital Studio 3 – Update 3

These are the group tasks we have for this week. For my project, we will be able to begin modelling earlier due to David offering up images he already has taken of objects. Emma will select images that she thinks will work, and then suggest images to take in the future. The studio time has…

Digital Studio 3 – 2nd Entry

After Presenting our projects to Brian, it was time to move onto our 1st sprint. I created a 3D logo for Yeti Studios which can be found here:   I also wrote the initial example dream for Emma’s project, Dream Capture which is here: DreamCapture Dragon-Cat David is presenting his project this week, so, if…

Digital Studio 3 Project

For this years studio project, I am teamed up with Emma & David to create and manage 3 project ideas. We are to create a project idea individually, and become the team manager for each of our projects. My project is Yeti. A 3D design studio that creates photo-realistic objects that can be used as…

Steampunk Factory Using Pixar’s RenderMan

After creating my initial steampunk forge, I then blocked out an animated a camera movement of my factory. You can watch that here: I decided to have a glass roof for my factory, and have the scene set at dusk to showcase the lighting effect possible in RenderMan.

Dragon Modelled in Maya

Here is a video of a dragon I modelled in Maya and Mudbox then rendered with Mental Ray for a university Project.  Stills of the model in a basic environment I also created can be found below.  Thank you for taking the time to look at it.
